Sebagai dahulu kita menafsirkan hal riba pada ayat 275—276 sampai dengan 279 surah al-Baqarah kita terangkan, si berutang boleh terlambat (nasiy'ah) membayarnya, bahkan yang berpiutang memang menghendaki supaya utang itu dilambat-lambatkan membayar, karena bila bertambah lambat membayar bertambah berlipat utang itu.
Proses istinbat ini tidak mungkin bisa dilalui tanpa adanya proses interpretasi atas Al-Qur’an itu sendiri, yang mana istinbat hukum ini adalah salah satu tujuan utama dari tafsir al-Qur’an.
